“Chasing the Bull” will follow five Kappa Sigma Fraternity brothers from UCLA who will be competing in the 2012 Red Bull Soapbox Race in Dallas, Texas, on September 15th.
Their soapbox car will be modeled after the F-22 Raptor Stealth fighter in honor of men and women serving in the armed forces, and they will don custom flight suits with matching helmets and support gear for the competition.
The documentary reportedly is to capture the “wild and zany” ambitions, antics, exploits, heartaches and adventures of the five leading up to the race.
A media release said that along the route from Los Angeles to Dallas, the team – called “Frat Force One” – will make public service stops at military bases, USO centers and Fisher Houses, where traumatically wounded military personnel can stay with their families while recovering.
They also plan to stop at the old-west movie set off Hermanas Road owned by Gary “Duke” Maxwell on September 11th, and will film some parts in Deming as well.
The fraternity brothers leave LA on September 9th.
