Executive Director Julie Bolton said they will meet the needs of Luna County seniors by daily home delivery of hot meals, and offering a drive-through option for meal pick-up for non-at-risk participants.
Also, Bolton said transportation services will be offered for emergency situations only, and no more than two people will be transported at any one time for medical or health care appointments, grocery shopping or bill paying. A 24-hour advance notice for rides will be required.
In-home and respite-care services will continue for participants who are not experiencing symptoms.
And adult daycare services will continue with daily screening of participants. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of fever, body aches, sore throat, dry cough, and shortness of breath will not be able to attend adult daycare.
Assessments and reassessments for services will be conducted via phone.
Senior Center staff will be available to take calls during the closure period, and seniors needing assistance are encouraged to call 546-8823 or 546-8825.
