
According to the legal notice, the executive – or closed – session will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The executive session agenda includes a review of applications for the District 5 School Board vacancy, a discussion of union recognition, and the acquisition or disposal of real property.
The board’s regular monthly meeting will follow at 5 p.m.
Included on the regular meeting agenda is a transportation boundary agreement with Animas Public Schools… a donation to Columbus Elementary from Western Union… a donation from Freeport-McMoRan… an application for developing and updating the district’s five-year facilities master plan… a memorandum of understanding with H.E.L.P-NM/Head Start… agreements with the city and county for after-school programs… course fees… and approval of the School Advisory Committees.
Also, Superintendent Dr. Arsenio Romero will update the board on the high school construction.
The executive session will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the board’s regular monthly meeting at 5 p.m., this Thursday, September 21st, in the board room of the Emmett Shockley Administration Building, 400 Cody Road.
The regular monthly meeting will be open to the public.
