
Officials are using consolidated precincts for the election, which means registered voters who did not vote early or absentee may vote anytime today until 7 p.m. at either Holy Family Parish Hall or the Mimbres Valley Learning and Special Events Center and in Columbus at the Columbus Village Library. There will be no specific precinct voting locations.
County Clerk Andrea Rodriguez said the purpose of this election is to elect local school board members from Districts 1 and 2. In District 1, Ronald D. Wolfe is running unopposed.
In District 2, candidates are Stephen Kent Witmer, Kenneth D. Perea and William J. Ruiz.
Winning candidates will serve a 4 year term.
Voting is open until 7 p.m.
