
DPS Director of Student Nutrition Ginger Jones said they are adding Deming High School and the port of entry bus lane in Columbus to the locations where free meals will be provided weekdays to DPS-enrolled students.
Meals continue to be served weekdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. through Friday, April 3rd, 2020, at the original four school sites: Bataan Elementary, Ruben S. Torres Elementary, and the Central Cafeteria in Deming, and Columbus Elementary in Columbus, and now additionally at Deming High School in Deming and the port of entry bus lane in Columbus.
Officials said no paperwork is required, but children must be present in order for meals to be provided.
Families can drive through and pick up both breakfast and lunch at the same time.
Meals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with more than 900 breakfasts and 900 lunches provided most days.
