Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante said officers will be handing out high visibility items for safety from 4-6 p.m. Friday.
Those items include bright trick-or-treat bags with treats and glowing necklaces and bracelets.
Gigante said they are hoping parents will bring kids by their safety event first, so the trick-or-treaters can wear their glowing jewelry as the sun sets and traffic increases to help the children be seen in neighborhoods.
Again… this Friday from 4-6 p.m. in Peppers’ parking lot the Police Department will be handing out trick-or-treat bags, candy and high visibility items for kids to use the rest of the evening as they trick-or-treat throughout town.
All kids are invited to attend.
