
The patrols, funded with Operation DWI monies, are designed to let officers aggressively look for impaired drivers.
Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante said the saturation patrols will be conducted this Friday and Saturday, June 27th and 28th, and will be city-wide.
Operation DWI funds are administered through the Traffic Safety Division of the New Mexico Department of Transportation and are to be used for activities – like saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints – aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes, injuries and deaths.
