New Mexico State Police filed the charges against Mike Waldrop of Deming, after the female victim went to Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces for emergency treatment.
According to the Statement of Probable Cause on file at the Luna County Magistrate Court, Waldrop allegedly handcuffed the female, placed her inside a coat closet and struck her several times.
The victim also said that he used a black handgun running it around her face as he threatened to shoot her if she told of the abuse.
The report states that then Waldrop removed the bound woman from the closet, and put her on a bed puncturing her with needles several times on her breasts, stomach, and vagina.
Waldrop is being held in the Luna County Detention Center on $80,000 cash only bond.
Deming Radio news has learned that Waldrop was fired from the Luna County Sheriff’s Department in February 2013.
