
The Deming Farm Business Management Team placed first in its competition, with Brannick Sweetser as highpoint individual, Tel Pickett at 2nd, Keri Hays at 4th and Graham Borden at 5th. The Farm Business Management Team has placed first in every qualifying invitational they attended this year.
Also winning the district for Deming were the Entomology team with Aubree Brabson as highpoint, Makenzie Head at 2nd, Mikaela Morris at 3rd, Jaida Green - 4th and Kaitlyn Reed - 5th… the Meats team with Skylar Miller as highpoint and Tristen Evans - 3rd… the Pasture and Range team with Jason Lewis at highpoint and Stephanie Swope - 2nd… and the Floriculture team with Stacy Swope at 2nd and Mikaela Morris at 4th.
Placing second at district were the Homesite team with Annie Kuenstler as highpoint individual… the Landscape Design team with Jessica Hays - 2nd, Mattie Wiseman - 3rd and Taylor Scepka - 5th… the Crops team with Tel Pickett - 4th… and the Agricultural Mechanics team.
FFA District 6 consists of teams from Deming as well as Las Cruces, Mayfield, Mesilla Valley Christian, Gadsden, Silver City, Cliff, Reserve, Animas and Hot Springs high schools.
The eight Deming teams that qualified will be competing in Las Cruces April 10th-13th.
