
The Deming Landscape Design team won state, with Truett Shafer as the highpoint individual, and Rachel Simpson placing fourth. Sierra Manos and Josue Leck also were on the winning team.
And Calleigh Sweetser was the highpoint individual in Floriculture, with Ciera Wood placing fifth and Tatumn O’Toole placing seventh. The Deming Floriculture team placed second in the team competition.
Deming teams also placed second in Land Evaluation, third in Pasture and Range, third in Wildlife, and fifth in Farm Business Management.
Other individuals placing in the top 10 of their respective contests were: Kylan Swinney – second in Pasture and Range; Reid Swinney – third, Nemo Perales – fifth, Kari Dominguez – eighth, and Kylan Swinney – ninth in Land Evaluation; and Calleigh Sweetser – tenth in Farm Business Management.
