
FFA Advisor Larry VonTress said 31 Deming FFA members traveled to Truth or Consequences to compete in 11 separate judging events against 25 other schools from across the state.
The Deming Landscape Design team placed first in the competition, with Darbi Harrington as the high-point individual, Tee Pickett as second-high, Kenzi McWright - third-high, and Kevi McWright - fifth-high.
The Floriculture team placed first, with Stacy Swope as high-point individual, Ciera Wood as second-high, and Susanna Turner as third-high.
Pasture and Range placed first with Matthew Simpson as high-point individual, Kylan Swinney as second-high, and Stacy Swope as third-high.
Deming won Entomology, with Truett Shafer placing as the third-high individual and Poppy Shultz, fifth-high.
Agronomy placed second with Truett Shafer as third-high… Farm Business Management was second with Truett Shafer as third-high… and Horticulture Produce placed second.
Homesite was third with Reid Swinney as high-point individual.
