(Deming) – The Deming High FFA Farm Business Management team won its state competition last week in Las Cruces and qualified to go the national Career Development Event competition in Louisville, Kentucky, in October. Brannick Sweetser was the 2nd-high individual in the competition, and Tel Pickett was the 5th-high individual. Also on the state-winning team were Graham Borden and Keri Hays. The local Floriculture team finished 3rd with Mikaela Morris as 8th-high individual.
The Deming FFA Crops team finished 4th with Tel Pickett as 6th-high individual and Shelbie Peterson as 8th-high individual.
The local Pasture and Range team finished 5th with Jason Lewis as 5th-high individual.
And the Deming Homesite team finished 5th with Sealy Kuenstler as 9th-high individual.
