
Included on the agenda is a memorandum of general agreement with Silver City regarding mutual building code enforcement services… an update on the New Mexico CAP entity by Executive Director Anthony Gutierrez… a resolution pertaining to a service agreement with the Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments… and a landfill use agreement with Hidalgo County.
In addition, the councilors will consider a bid to rent a city-owned mobile home off Skyview Road Southwest, and will hold quasi-judicial public hearings to consider a replat at the southwest corner of Poplar and Santa Barbara streets, and a special-use permit for a residence in the industrial zone off Peru Mill Road.
Also, new hires Pedro Orosco and Alexander Maynes will be sworn in as firefighters.
The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of the John Strand Municipal Building on South Gold. The meeting will be open to the public.
A closed session to discuss the purchase, acquisition or disposal of real property will follow the open meeting.
