The tournament is open to all members of the public – not just dog or cat lovers and bowling pros.
The tournament format will be nine-pin no-tap for men and eight-pin no-tap for women.
Nine-pin and eight-pin games mean if the player's first throw knocks over nine or eight pins - men and women, respectively - then it is counted as a strike.
Each team should include four players at a registration fee of $25 per player.
Teams can be mixed with no set number of men or women.
Deming Animal Guardians organizers challenge the community to participate in the bowling tournament for "Big-Dog Status" based on overall score.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 13th. Warmup begins at 9 a.m., with the tournament beginning at 9:15 a.m.
A later session will begin at 1 p.m. if needed.
Trophies and prizes will be presented at the end of the event along with the winner of a 50/50 raffle.
