Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood from patients and taking the blood specimens to a laboratory to prepare for testing.
Anyone interested in a medical career is encouraged to take the training because phlebotomy skills reportedly can lead to other careers in the medical field.
The one-week training course is free and open to the public.
The training will be held April 24th-28th at Deming Cesar Chavez Charter High School, 315 E. First St.
