Low-income families can receive a $100-coupon to be redeemed at local veterinary clinics toward the cost of a spay or neuter surgery.
The grant, from The Babes and Bullies, a New Mexico organization that advocates for bully-dog breeds, can accommodate 15 dogs on a first-come, first-served basis.
Bully-dog guardians should check with their veterinarian on the minimum spay/neuter age, and are responsible for the remainder of the cost of surgery, and for having vaccinations up-to-date.
Deming Animal Guardians is celebrating 27 years of assisting Luna County families and their companion dogs and cats.
