
According to a media release, MWI, Inc. (Contractor) will continue installation of the lighting project along Pine Street to exit 85 ramp. Traffic can expect intermittent lane closures and shoulder work in the area mile post .84 to .86. Hours of operation will be from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday. Construction is expected to be completed by fall 2018.
Also, on Interstate 10 mile marker 96 near Akela, The New Mexico Department of Transportation will have equipment on the roadway for bridge and roadway repairs.
Traffic will encounter lane closures on the westbound passing (left) lane. Speed limits will be reduced to 55 mph, closures and traffic control shall remain in place 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Construction hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm and is expected to be completed by August 2018.
In all construction zones, motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and use extreme caution, as well as continue to be cautious of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the area.
Conditions are subject to change without notice. Double fines for speeding in work zones may be in effect.
