
The event is free and the public is invited to participate as buyers or sellers.
Coordinator Joe Padilla said the event is one of Keep Luna County Beautiful’s biggest pushes to divert items from being sent to a landfill.
He added that sometimes people throw away goods that could easily be used by someone else.
The yard sale will give discount-hunters the opportunity to find a variety of items for sale.
Last year, he said, about 60 spaces were occupied by sellers and around 2,000 people came through looking to buy.
Padilla said landfills are extremely expensive and the space inside is limited and valuable.
There is no charge for community members to reserve a 10-foot by 10-foot space and larger spaces are available upon request. Call 543-6621 or 543-6625 for more information or to reserve a spot. The deadline to register a space is 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8th.
