DEMING – The community is invited to participate in a salute to the Deming High School Class of 2020 next Friday.
DHS Senior Class Sponsor Danna Simmons said the families of graduating seniors are being encouraged to decorate their front door in honor of their senior.
Then on Friday, April 17th, the community is invited to honk and wave to the seniors in their neighborhoods who will be standing outside their homes from 6-7 p.m.
Simmons said they encourage families to practice social distancing and remain in their vehicle during this drive-by salute.
DPS officials and Simmons hope this salute will give seniors a boost of encouragement while allowing the community to show its pride and celebrate the accomplishments of the DHS Class of 2020.
