(Deming) – The Luna County Commissioners will meet in special session Tuesday.
The commission will discuss budget increases, and participation in the PNM Solar Direct program.
Also on the agenda is a report from County Manager David McSherry regarding the Joint Luna County/Deming Emergency Shelter set up at the Southwestern New Mexico State Fairgrounds, and a hangar at the airport.
According to the agenda, McSherry will brief the Commissioners on funding, operation, organization and emergency procurement authorization at the shelter.
After the meeting the Commissioners will meet in executive session to discuss a limited personnel matter for hiring, promoting, demoting, and/or assigning of specific personnel related to the emergency asylee releases onto our community and the operation of the joint Luna County/Deming Emergency Shelter.
The meeting is set to begin at 9 Tuesday morning in the commission chambers, located on the third floor of the courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
