Milo was first elected to represent Luna County Commission District 1 in November of 2010, and was re-elected to a second four-year term in November of 2014.
He served as chair of the commission in 2015.
Colleagues and friends were quick to offer compliments on Milo’s public service and standing in the community.
Comments included that Milo was always supportive of community and county projects – particularly those involving youth and the district he represented. He also was a strong advocate for agriculture and small business in the county.
Gov. Susana Martinez will appoint someone to fulfill the remainder of Milo’s term on the commission, which runs through December of 2018.
