
Democrats Paul Borde, Fred De La O, Mike Eby, Kelly Gannaway, Mark Jasso and John Mooridian… and Republicans Allen Batts, Harold May, Robert Santana and Michael Waldrop declared their candidacy Tuesday. The ten are vying to replace Raymond Cobos, who has served for two terms.
And County Commission District 2 generated some interest. Incumbent Republican Jay Spivey is running for a second term, and is being challenged in the primary by Republican Linda Smrkovsky. Also, Democrat Debra French is running for the seat – a seat she filled for a time by appointment.
County Commission District 1 incumbent Democrat Joe “Oleo” Milo will have a general election opponent. Milo is being challenged by Republican Edward Khanbabian.
Republican Leeanna Rossi declared her candidacy for Magistrate Judge, challenging incumbent Democrat Ray Baese in the general election.
And State Representative District 32 incumbent Dona Irwin is running for another term, and will be challenged in the general election by Republican Tom Bill Black.
Also, incumbent County Assessor Democrat Delilah Orquiz Rojo and incumbent Probate Judge Republican Delia Perez are running unopposed for second terms.
