A media release said Deming residents are fortunate to have an ample supply of good quality, potable water that is above average for taste and quality.
City officials said Deming’s water meets or exceeds state and federal guidelines for approved drinking water, and currently Deming’s combined water wells are producing water at less than twenty-five percent of capacity.
Deming water is safe to drink from the tap in your home. Officials said if the taste of mild chlorine is an issue, try water from the refrigerator tap, add an after-market filter to the kitchen water tap, or let water set in a container for a few hours before drinking.
Also, officials report Deming water costs less than 30-cents per 100 gallons.
