According to a media release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking input concerning a proposed border barrier project. CBP is considering a project to replace existing vehicle barrier with bollard wall in Luna and Doña Ana Counties, New Mexico.
CBP proposes to replace two segments of existing vehicle barrier, totaling approximately 46 miles, with new bollard wall. The proposed project also includes the installation of lighting and other detection technology.
CBP is seeking input regarding the proposed project’s potential impacts to the environment, culture, and commerce, including potential socioeconomic impacts, and quality of life. CBP will consider your comments as a part of its project planning process.
