The Black Range Art organization is a not-for-profit entity with the mission statement of giving back to the community.
This year, the artists have elected to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital, which provides treatment to the sickest children regardless of their parents’ ability to pay.
The juried fine art mixed media show will be held at the Mimbres Valley Special Events Center, 2300 East Pine Street, this Friday from 5-8 p.m. with a VIP artists’ reception, then Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Each participating artist has agreed to donate 20% of his or her sales to St. Jude.
Also, the artists are shouldering the expense of travel, food and lodging.
Monies raised from a silent auction also will go to St Jude.
Lunch from the Adobe Deli will be available at the show Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., for a nominal price.
Plus there will be demonstrations and raffles.
