Agriculture leases are subject to renewal every five years.
Questions concerning the 2014 Agriculture Lease Renewal application documents will be addressed by State Land Office staff from the Surface Resources Division. A Notary Public will be available on site for those needing a notarized renewal application.
State Land Commissioner Ray Powell said the agriculture community is instrumental in protecting the health of the state lands and generating food for our families.
Powell added that he also greatly appreciates the role agriculture lessees play in generating revenue for land trust beneficiaries, including schools, universities and hospitals in New Mexico.
The Agriculture Lease Renewal Workshop is set for Monday, July 14th, from 2-4 p.m. in the Commissioner’s Chambers, located on the third floor of the Luna County Courthouse.
