
The training is designed to teach individuals how to help others experiencing mental health challenges or crises.
The Adult Mental Health First Aid Course reportedly is an evidence-based “first responder” course that addresses risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, and trains participants in the skills, resources and knowledge to help an individual in crisis connect with appropriate professional, peer, social and self-help care.
The training is being offered at no charge Monday, January 4th, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Deming Public School Board Room, 1001 South Diamond.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
Participants need to register so organizers can plan for materials and food.
