
A warrant has been issued for 19-year-old Adrian Vigil charging him with the murder of his father, 66-year-old David Vigil.
According to Deming Police Chief Brandon Gigante, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Ninth Street Saturday at just before 5 p.m.
Gigante said they found David Vigil suffering from life-threatening injuries and had him transported immediately by ambulance to the hospital. He later died from the injuries. Detectives investigating determined that Vigil was murdered and his son, Adrian Vigil, was the prime suspect.
The elder Vigil’s body was sent to the Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque for an autopsy.
Gigante said Adrian has not been located and is considered armed and dangerous.
He is described as 6’ tall, weighing approximately 140 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.
Adrian was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a camouflage jacket.
