
In other competitions, "Just Hatched" for ages 0-1 year, the winner was Lil Miss Zia Duckie, Anastasia Harper, who took home $25, with runner-up Sophia the Darling Duckling, Sophia Garcia, winning $15. In the Little Waddler Category, for ages 2-4, the winner was The Little Conductor, Tyson Honeycutt. He received $50. Runner-up, and $15 winner, was La Chiqueita Pato Folkforico, Madison Grimley. The Downey Duckling category is for ages 5-8 year, and the winner was Camp Cody Bugle Duck, Cyrena Ayon, who received $75. Runner-up was Goldie the Crestea Duck, Savanna Noriega. Her prize money was $50. In the Darling Duckling category, for ages 9-12, the winner, who took home $100, was Centennial Duck, Diego Ayala. Runner-up was Red Hot Duck, Patrick Martinez. He received $75. This year's theme was "New Mexico's Centennial". The Duck Race this year has been designated as an official Centennial Event by the state. The Pageant again this year was hosted by Duck Race President Diana Chadborn, with help from many helpers, including "Duck McPride", and sponsored by Mimbres Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home.
