
DEMING – New Mexico’s Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced last week that W. Troy Weisler will be the next New Mexico State Police Chief.
Weisler began his career with the State Police while stationed here in Deming as a patrol officer in 2002.
He succeeds Tim Johnson who is retiring after 23 years on the force.
Chief Weisler now commands a force of over 700 officers throughout New Mexico.
Over his career, Chief Weisler has served the state as a State Police patrol officer, investigative officer, research and narcotics roles around the state.
