KOTS-AM broadcasts the popular “Mainstream Country” satellite format from Dial-Global, America’s #1 radio network. The live format is strong all across the 25-54 age demographic, with emphasis on 31-49 year olds.
KOTS-AM is affiliated with the Associated Press news network and carries AP Radio News at the top of the hour, 24 hours a day. In addition, KOTS provides local and state news throughout the day a full half-hour newscast at 7am, and extended local and state news at 12pm and 5pm. We are the only agricultural news source in the area, providing market updates and commodity information weekday mornings. We also keep the community informed of local happenings with public service announcements on the KOTS-AM “Hometown Happenings” Community Bulletin Board. And we are the only station providing complete coverage of Deming High School varsity boy’s football and basketball, plus additional coverage of baseball and girl’s varsity sports.
KOTS-AM is locally owned and operated in Deming, NM. Our main objective is helping assure the prosperity of Deming, and we do this by making Deming people, events and businesses our sole focus. Deming and Luna County’s population is approximately 25,000, with the city located on Interstate 10, about 30 miles from the Mexican border. Tourism is a major industry, as is agriculture. The community also hosts additional winter visitors, and has a growing retirement population. Deming has obtained national
stature with its annual “Great American Duck Race” each August.
