KOTS-AM Station Profile:
KOTS-AM in Deming, New Mexico, plays only the best country music from today, along with hits from the 1990s, 1980s and before. The bright, fun presentation by our radio personalities keeps listeners tuned in. All the country superstars are heard on KOTS, including classic country artists often overlooked by other stations.
KOTS-AM broadcasts the popular “Mainstream Country” satellite format from Westwood One, America’s #1 radio network. The live format is strong all across the 25-54 age demographic, with emphasis on 31-49 year olds.
KOTS-AM is affiliated with the Associated Press news network and carries AP Radio News at the top of the hour, 24 hours a day. In addition, KOTS provides local and state news throughout the day a full half-hour newscast at 7am, and extended local and state news at 12pm and 5pm. We are the only agricultural news source in the area, providing market updates and commodity information weekday mornings. We also keep the community informed of local happenings with public service announcements on the KOTS-AM “Hometown Happenings” Community Bulletin Board. And we are the only station providing complete coverage of Deming High School varsity boy’s football and basketball, plus additional coverage of baseball and girl’s varsity sports.

KDEM-FM in Deming, New Mexico, features a blend of adult contemporary hit music from the 1980s and 1990s through today. The station plays hip, fun, current music featuring a broad spectrum of sounds. This special mix of adult contemporary music lets adults feel up-to-date without having to endure the bubblegum pop songs or rap/hip-hop music that is a tune-out to more mature listeners.
KDEM-FM broadcasts the popular “Hot AC” satellite format from Westwood One, America’s #1 radio network. The live format is targeted to attract the active 25-54 year olds who love to stay on top of today’s music without abandoning the great songs they remember from high school and college.

National and world news each hour is followed by local and/or state news generated from our local newsroom and through the AP news service. We also keep the community informed of local happenings with public service announcements on the KDEM “Hometown Happenings.” We are truly Deming’s “information station” and the station Luna County residents depend on for news, weather, sports and agricultural information.
KOTS-AM and KDEM-FM are locally owned and operated in Deming, NM. Our main objective is helping assure the prosperity of Deming, and we do this by making Deming people, events and businesses our sole focus. Deming and Luna County’s population is approximately 25,000, with the city located on Interstate 10, about 30 miles from the Mexican border. Tourism is a major industry, as is agriculture. The community also hosts additional winter visitors, and has a growing retirement population. Deming has obtained national stature with its annual “Great American Duck Race” each August.
