Annual City Wide Alley Clean Up
During the month of April the City of Deming will pick up yard waste and items too large to fit in the dumpsters free of charge. The items need to be placed on the sides of the alley to allow the collection trucks to pass. Please bag any leaves or brush that needs to be picked up.
Alleys located north of Poplar Street and east of Gold Street will be picked up during the week of March 23 through March 27.
Alleys located south of Poplar Street and east of Gold/Columbus Highway will be picked up during the week of March 30 through April 3.
Alleys located south of Oak Street and west of Gold/Columbus Highway will be picked up during the week of April 6 through April 10.
Alleys located north of Oak Street and west of Gold Street will be picked up during the week of April 13 through April 17.
Check your location with the above schedule and place the items to be picked up in the alley prior to that week. Placing items in the alley prior to the weekly schedule will help ensure all items are picked up and not missed.
If you have any questions or will be utilizing this free service please contact City Hall at 546-8848. Calling to inform City Hall about items in the alley to be picked up will allow the Solid Waste Department to schedule the pick up routes effectively.
Requests for removal of waste before or after scheduled free pickup dates will be handled as a special pickup with the minimum fee of $37.35 plus $37.35 per every ½ hour of labor.
As a reminder-Please note: There is no charge (year round) for City of Deming or Luna County residents to dump at the Transfer Station located at 5470 Highway 549.
