![]() CELEBRATION! This is Pit Bull Awareness Month. And, despite all of the horrible stories about tragic happenings, the breed itself not bad. There are bad owners and bad breeders as well as those not bad, but irresponsible owners and caretakers. One of my favorite pit stories is of the momma, who when her pups were weaned, raised a litter of orphaned kittens! But, for the protection of both the public and the dogs themselves, we have a very stringent pit and part pit adoption policy which requires home inspections, secure fencing and no chaining. As always, problems you become aware of can be forwarded to us for welfare checks. SECOND CALL: cool evening mean we’re going to need more blankets, please!! Finally, we will be closed Friday for our semi-annual plumbing updates. The pipes date back to World War II in parts of the building so we want all clean and tidy before the influx of Fall leaves in the sewer lines. And, there’s a PUPPY SALE. Come on out. |
