(Deming) – Here’s the area crime report:
Three inmates in the Luna County Detention Center had additional charges filed on them after a fourth inmate was jumped and beat up. 27-year-old Jose Lopez and 25-year-old Jose Rivera were each charged with battery, and 27-year-old Jeffrey Krol was charged with accessory to battery.
Also… Rachel Landeros, age 34, was arrested on a Grant County Magistrate warrant for failure to appear… Jaime Zuniga, age 39, was cited for careless driving… and Samuel Romero, age 18, was cited for minor allowing self to be served alcohol.
And in other news… three tool boxes with tools and hardware with a combined value of $9,000 were taken from a location off East Cedar… a vehicle was vandalized and accessories taken from a location off North Eighth Street… a purse, gym bag, prescription safety glasses and an MP3 player with a combined value of nearly $1,000 were taken from a vehicle parked off Santa Catalina… a vehicle fire was reported off the interstate west of Deming after the brakes on a semi-trailer caught fire… and a window valued at $250 was broken on a residence off South Silver.
