(Deming) – A local radio  personality has been honored by the
Academy of Western  Artists.

Totsie Slover, who  hosts the program “Real West from the Old West” Wednesday mornings on KOTS-AM,  was nominated for Disc Jockey
of the Year by the national  organization.

Slover, who works  full-time as a realtor with Deming Realty Company, is one of five radio  personalities nominated for the honor – and the only one from New  Mexico.

She joins announcers  from Texas, Oregon, Colorado and California in achieving the honor of being nominated.

The Academy of Western  Artists will select the Disc Jockey of the Year in February.

“Real West from the Old  West” with Slover can  be heard Wednesday mornings from 10-noon on AM-1230  KOTS.
