(Deming) – Officials from the  State Regulation and Licensing Department will hold two meetings in Deming this  Thursday to discuss the status of customer accounts and the claims-handling  process involving the now-closed Mimbres Valley Escrow  Services.

The department has  contracted with Mountain States Escrow in Las Cruces to manage the transfer of  customer files from Mimbres Valley Escrow to different escrow  companies.

Former customers of  Mimbres Valley Escrow – especially those who have not received correspondence  from Mountain States Escrow – are encouraged to attend one of Thursday’s  meetings.

The department  reportedly has numerous bad addresses for customers, and needs information in  order to transfer the accounts.

Two meetings are being held  because seating is limited to 100 persons at each meeting.  People with questions or concerns  are advised to get there early to ensure they have a seat.
