(Deming) – The Deming School Board met in regular session Thursday.
Included on the agenda was a resolution determining the necessity for lease/purchase agreements for education technology equipment… a proposal for psychological services… a proposal for internal connections… the revised 2012-2013 fleet service contracts… details on a surplus sale… and a quitclaim deed for Sunshine School which corrects the legal description of the property on the quitclaim deed with Luna County dated June 23rd, 2009.
The board also recognized the first Graduate New Mexico Student and the Christmas Card Contest winners.
The Deming Public School Administration offices will have abbreviated holiday hours over the next two weeks.
The school administration offices will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New
Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The offices will be open from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. on December 26th, 27th and
28th, as well as January 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Regular business hours will return on Monday, January 7th. Also, this Friday is the last day of school for the calendar year in the Deming Public Schools. Students will go to school for a half-day Friday, and staff for the entire school day.
Then teachers and staff return to school on Monday, January 7th, and students report back on Tuesday, January 8th. Wednesday, January 9th, will not be an early release day, but the early-release Wednesday schedule begins the following Wednesday, January 16th.
