(Deming) -- A steer raised by Annie Kuenstler was selected as the top steer for this year's Southwestern New Mexico State Fair.

Kuenstler’s steer won the "Short" class before winning the  Grand Champion honors.

A  steer raised by Skylar Miller was selected as the "Tall" class winner before  being selected as the Reserve Grand Champion steer.

Second place in the "Short" class was a steer raised by  Maison Treadwell... and third was a steer raised by Danielle  Hull.

First place in the "Medium" class was a steer raised by Dylan  Smyer... second was a steer raised by Reid Swinney... and third was a steer  raised by Ashton Treadwell.

And in the "Tall" class... second place was a steer raised by  Mackenzie Head... and third was a steer raised by Tanner  Caldwell. 


In  the county-bred class... the Champion steer was raised by Danielle Hull... and  the Reserve Champion was raised by Tanner Caldwell.
