(Deming) – Here’s the area crime report:
Cesar Zuniga, age 51, was arrested for aggravated DUI, driving while license was suspended or revoked, no insurance, having an expired registration and on an improper lane driving
violation. Alphonso Garcia, age 23, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, resisting or evading an officer, concealing identity, possession of drug paraphernalia and on two Dona Ana County warrants for failure to appear. Derrick Benner, age 33, was arrested for battery against a household member and resisting or evading an officer… Amanda Hicks, age 28, was arrested for battery against a household member. Derya Jara, age 27, was arrested for reckless driving with liquor.
Gene Hicks, age 26, was arrested for concealing his identity and on a Magistrate warrant for failure to pay fines. Gerald Hefley, age 18, was arrested on a Magistrate and on a Municipal warrant – both for failure to pay fines. Noel Casteneda, age 22, of Chaparral, was arrested on a Dona Ana County warrant for failure to appear.
Federico Martincigh, age 21, was arrested on a Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Ana Maria Varela, age 21, was arrested on a Municipal warrant for failure to appear. Angel Chavez, age 25, was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Jaime Almanza, age 21, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, was cited for careless driving.
Also, a 2001 Dodge four-door, jewelry, electronics, and consumables were taken from a residence off West Second Street. Two bicycles with a combined value of over $200 were taken from a business off Pine Street.
